FIVE YEARS AGO A FILMMAKER SET OUT TO MAKE A MOVIE...

Five years ago, in the Arrowhead Mountains and the surrounding mountain townships of Crestline, Twin Peaks, Running Springs and Rimforest, a filmmaker set out to make a micro-budget horror film about the Urban legend of Mathaluh, a band who was said to have released a bootleg record laced with backwards Satanic lyrics. The movie shoot was plagued by bizarre and unusual disturbances, until the film was abandoned altogether.

Some people say the film is cursed.

Others say members of that mountain community, involved in Black Masses in those backwoods, didn't want to see the film finished.

I don't know which is true.

Here are some images from the uncompleted movie.

this only happens in small towns."
